Thadnongiaw, Ri-Bhoi, Meghalaya | December 11, 2024
An Animal Health Camp was held on December 11, 2024, in Thadnongiaw village, Ri-Bhoi district,
Meghalaya under the NICRA-TDC project by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Ri-Bhoi, with over 40 local farmers participating. The camp focused on improving
livestock health through practical demonstrations on deworming, vaccination, and the benefits of vitamin and mineral supplementation. Experts also emphasized
the importance of bio-security measures, such as securing animal enclosures, controlling farm access, and maintaining personal hygiene to prevent disease transmission.
The event aimed to equip farmers with the knowledge and skills needed to enhance livestock productivity and resilience, promoting sustainable farming practices to adapt
to climate change and ensure long-term farm health and productivity.
